About the Role
New Time Construction Ltd is seeking a skilled Joiner to join its construction and
maintenance team in Wolverhampton. The successful applicant will carry out first fix
and second fix joinery work on residential, commercial and/or construction projects,
ensuring that all work is completed safely, accurately and to the required standard.

Main Duties and Responsibilities
– Carrying out first fix and second fix joinery works on construction, refurbishment and maintenance projects.
– Measuring, cutting, shaping, assembling and fitting timber and other materials.
– Installing doors, door frames, windows, skirting boards, architraves, flooring, partitions, stair components and other joinery items.
– Reading and interpreting drawings, plans, specifications and work instructions.
– Constructing and fitting timber frameworks, roof timbers, stud partitions and other structural or finishing elements.
– Repairing, replacing and maintaining joinery installations where required.
– Using hand tools, power tools and woodworking equipment safely and effectively.
– Ensuring work is completed accurately, efficiently and to the required quality standard.
– Liaising with site supervisors, project managers and other trades to coordinate work.                               – Complying with site rules, risk assessments, method statements and health
and safety procedures.

Skills Required
– Good knowledge of first fix and second fix joinery techniques.
– Ability to measure, cut, shape, assemble and fit timber and other materials
accurately.
– Ability to read and interpret drawings, plans and technical specifications.
– Competence in using relevant hand tools, power tools and woodworking
equipment safely.
– Strong attention to detail and ability to produce a high standard of
workmanship.
– Good understanding of construction site health and safety requirements.
– Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
– Good time management and ability to meet project deadlines.
– Ability to communicate effectively with site supervisors, project managers and
other trades.

Qualifications Required
– A valid CSCS card or equivalent construction site safety certification is
desirable.
– Relevant qualification, such as NVQ/SVQ in Carpentry and Joinery, Bench
Joinery, Site Joinery or an equivalent qualification, is desirable.
– Health and safety training relevant to construction site work is desirable.
Experience Required
– Minimum of 2 years of previous experience working as a Joiner on
construction, refurbishment or maintenance projects.
– Experience carrying out first fix and second fix joinery works.
– Experience installing doors, door frames, windows, skirting boards,
architraves, flooring, partitions, stair components and other joinery items.
– Experience constructing and fitting timber frameworks, roof timbers, stud
partitions and other structural or finishing elements.
– Experience repairing, replacing and maintaining joinery installations is
desirable.

About the Role
New Time Construction Ltd is seeking an experienced Steel Fixer to join its
construction team in Wolverhampton. The successful applicant will be responsible
for preparing, assembling and fixing steel reinforcement for concrete structures in
accordance with construction drawings, bar bending schedules, site instructions and
health and safety requirements.

Main Duties and Responsibilities
– Reading and interpreting construction drawings, reinforcement plans and bar
bending schedules.
– Measuring, cutting, bending and positioning steel reinforcement bars and
mesh.
– Fixing steel bars, mesh and reinforcement cages using tying wire, clips or
other approved fixing methods.
– Installing reinforcement in foundations, beams, columns, walls, slabs and
other concrete structures.
– Ensuring that reinforcement is positioned accurately and securely in
accordance with project specifications.
– Working with shuttering joiners, concrete workers, groundworkers and other
site trades.
– Checking completed work for accuracy, quality and compliance with drawings
and site requirements.
– Using hand tools, power tools and site equipment safely and correctly.
– Maintaining a clean, organised and safe working area.
– Complying with site rules, risk assessments, method statements and health
and safety procedures.

Skills Required
– Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, bar bending schedules and

Construction Operations or an equivalent qualification, is desirable.
– Health and safety training relevant to construction site work is desirable.
Experience Required
– Previous experience working as a Steel Fixer on construction sites.
– Experience installing reinforcement in foundations, columns, beams, walls,
slabs and other concrete structures.
– Experience working with steel bars, mesh and reinforcement cages.
– Experience working from construction drawings and reinforcement schedules.
– Experience working alongside shuttering joiners, concrete workers,
groundworkers and other site trades is desirable.
